Spring Online Workshop
We find ourselves nearing the transitional time between the hibernating depths of Winter and the delicate emergence of new life in the Spring. We take this time as an opportunity to pause and gather ourselves as we enter a new season, allowing ourselves to go gentle and slow and looking to the land and our ancestors for examples of how to do this in the most grace-filled and celebratory ways. From the tender buds that start to swell in March through to the great and joyful blossomings of flowers in May and all the powerful symbolism in between, we hope to share and celebrate this special time of year with you.
In this two hour recorded gathering, we spend time learning about Ostara (March 20th) and Beltane (May 1st), the two Spring celebration days on the Wheel of the Year. We will discuss the external changes we witness in the earth around us as it stirs and brings forth new life, as well as the internal shifts and awakenings we experience personally. A brief history of each point of celebration will be shared, alongside ancestral practices and folkways of Northwestern Europeans that can help us today to be in a more meaningful relationship with each of these moments in the year.
This online gathering space is a brief introduction to non-appropriative spiritual practices for folks of Northwestern European ancestry. You will receive a downloadable PDF containing links to access the recording, a short written introduction to the history and celebrations, and resources for further exploration.
